Hi everyone!
Last week I had the absolute pleasure of meeting with Whitney Thompson, winner of America’s Next Top Model. She was the first full-figured model to ever win!! She was in town to shoot for Allistyle (available exclusively at Gussied Up). Pam, the creative genius behind Allistyle brought her by the store before she flew out of Toronto. It was a whirlwind visit, but we have hopes of bringing her back to the store soon!

Gussied Up Welcomes Allistyle!!

I am really really really excited to announce that Gussied Up now carries Allistyle. I met Pam Shainhouse of Allistyle at Full Figure Fashion week in New York last summer. I heard her story about how Allistyle was created. Pam’s daughter, Alli, was diagnosed with cancer. During her treatments, she gained 80 pounds and was frustrated by the lack of fashionable plus size clothing available. She set out to create an affordable, comfortable, fashionable plus size line. Unfortunately Alli lost her battle with cancer in 2006. She was 26. Her mother, Pam, has continued her daughter’s vision and has created a line that her daughter would be proud of!
Allistyle is 100% Canadian. The line is designed in Canada, the fabric is made in Canada and the clothing is manufactured in Canada. The collection is made of out of viscose from bamboo, organic cotton and a little spandex. It feels amazing against the skin and it doesn’t shrink!! I had a chance to try on the line a couple weeks ago when Pam and I reconnected. I did not want to take it off. It really makes you feel and look great.
The collection is already proving to be a customer favourite. I hadn’t even had it out on the floor a day and it was selling like hotcakes. We are extremely excited to team up with Allistyle!!

Allistyle Mod Dress
A fabulous sleeveless dress with a square banded collar that will take you from day to night simply with the addition of your own accessories. This number has a slight A-line silhouette with simple front seaming. Simple seaming elongates the figure. The signature banding at the knee highlights the simplicity of the piece. The Mod Dress comes in a fabulous turquoise and black, in sizes 14-20 for $105.
Allistyle Sophisticated Dress
This dress has very flattering pleats in the front and has sleeves to give you more coverage. Available in purple and black in 14-20 $125.
Allistyle cross over tee and pencil skirt
These versatile pieces will become stables in your wardrobe. The pencil skirt is available in black, 14-20 $75. The cross over tee is comes in purple and black, sizes 14-20 for $80
Allistyle Long Pant
Those of you who know me, know that I am a dress girl through and through! I slipped into a pair of these pants and loved the way that they fit. Available in black in 14-20 for $80. Try a pair on when you come in.
